Each term we focus on the principals of effective communication, building confidence and strengthening the voice through articulation
exercises. We also incorporate impromptu and exercises for students to think on their feet. In addition to this, we have a slightly
different focus area and objective for each term, so each term and subsequent year, builds upon the next. You can enrol at anytime

At Speech and Communication Tuition, we like to have goals to work towards, as well as show off our skills at any opportunity!
AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) examinations are offered to all students enrolled from school year 4. These exams are not compulsory, however a great goal to work towards for students. They are also a lot of FUN!
For senior students, Certain AMEB subjects and levels have been recognised by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority and may contribute towards a student’s QCE.
Students are also able to sit their AMEB Voice and Communication Certificate, a highly recognised accreditation.
Speech and Communication Tuition maintains a strong record of High Distinction and Honours exam results.
Speech and Communication Private Eisteddfod
Each year, Speech and Communication Tuition holds an annual Poetry Speaking Eisteddfod for students in school years 1 – 6. This is an event
that children look forward to each and every year, and is a great opportunity to enjoy being on stage. There are no entry fees for this
event as it is a private eisteddfod and designed to be an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
The Eisteddfod is held in Term Two of each year.
Other Eisteddfods and Competitions
We also offer and encourage participation in external eisteddfod competitions throughout the year, including the Brisbane Eisteddfod and the
Enoggera Eisteddfod. Speech and Communication students achieve great results at these events.
Additionally, we encourage entry into Public Speaking events such as Rostrum and the United Nations Voices of Youth Competition. In
2020, two students made the National Grand State Final of this event.
